Lauded by the South Florida Classical Review for his "vivacious and buoyant" playing, Luke Fitzpatrick also plays principal flute with the Des Moines Metropolitan Opera. He also played principal flute with the Sarasota opera this past winter season. Participating in summer music festivals is one of Luke's greatest joys as a musician. He has spent summers at the National Orchestral Institute, National Repertory Orchestra, Music Academy of the West, Aspen music festival, the National Symphony’s Summer Music Institute, and the Chautauqua music festival. Join CYO for a masterclass with Conrad Jones, Principal Trumpet for Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. Jones has been a featured soloist with the Downey Symphony Orchestra, the Colburn Orchestra, the Cleveland Institute of Music Orchestra and the Tucson Pops! Orchestra. An avid chamber musician, Jones has performed with various new music ensembles, including LA based WildUp!, Cleveland based FiveOne, and Cantori Domino. Jones is a founding member of the Kyōdai Brass Quintet, a group started in Cleveland with his two younger brothers in 2009. Praised for their innovative and engaging programs, Kyōdai’s most recent activity includes residencies with the Detroit Chamber Music Society and the Cleveland Chamber Music Society. This concert features the world premiere of Roberto Piana’s Concerto Fantastique, written specifically for renowned pianist Antonio Pompa-Baldi to perform on Steinway's technological breakthrough, the Spirio piano. Join CYO for a masterclass with Jon Bisesi, Percussionist with the President's Own United States Marine Band. Bisesi has been a featured soloist with the Marine Band on multiple occasions, most notably on the Filene Center stage at the Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts in 2011 & 2016, and the “President’s Own” 2011 & 2017 National Concert Tours. Other work through the Marine Band includes numerous chamber percussion performances and masterclasses, most notably at the 2008 Percussive Arts Society International Convention in Austin, Texas, The Tanglewood Music Center, The Boston University Tanglewood Institute, Luzerne Music Center, University of Maryland Percussion Seminar, and The Manhattan School of Music. THE MAN BEHIND THE CURTAIN remixes some of Bernard Herrmann's most powerful works for Hitchcock films, using beats inspired by trip-hop, downtempo and blues. In addition, THE MAN BEHIND THE CURTAIN is a totally immersive concert experience, which utilizes sound, film projections a state-of-the-art light show.
